Frequently Asked Questions
It is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine with isabgol husk, senna, amaltas and other herbs. As per the label, it is indicated for habitual and occasional constipation, constipation associated with piles, constipation in diabetic and elderly patients, and constipation after surgery.
Isabgol (psyllium) husk adds fibre and bulk to the stool. Senna and amaltas are traditional herbal laxatives. Saunf, gulab phul, mulethi and bael support digestive comfort.
Take 1–2 teaspoonfuls (5–10 g) in 100 ml of water, twice a day after meals or at bedtime, or as advised by your physician. Stir and drink immediately, then drink an additional glass of water.
It usually works within 6–12 hours. Response varies from person to person.
Do not use it continuously for more than 1–2 weeks without a doctor’s advice. Long-term use of senna-containing laxatives can upset salt balance and make the bowel depend on laxatives.
