Nateglinide belongs to the meglitinide class of antidiabetic drugs and works by stimulating the pancreas to release insulin, especially around meal times, thereby helping control post-meal blood sugar spikes. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body’s sensitivity to insulin. The combination helps achieve better overall blood sugar control by targeting both fasting and postprandial glucose levels.
