FORMULATION: Injection
Description: PERABACT 4.5 gm Injection contains Piperacillin 4 g + Tazobactam 500 mg, a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination used for the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections. Piperacillin is a penicillin-class antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, while Tazobactam is a β-lactamase inhibitor that protects Piperacillin from bacterial resistance.

This combination provides extended coverage against gram-positive, gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria, including many β-lactamase producing organisms. It is widely used in hospital and ICU settings for serious infections.
