COMPOSITION: Each Film Coated Tablet Contains: Empagliflozin 5 Mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 Mg, Excipients Q.s.
FORMULATION: Tablet
Description: EMPACON MET 5/1000 Tablet is a combination of Empagliflozin 5mg (SGLT2 inhibitor) and Metformin 1000mg (biguanide), used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Empagliflozin reduces glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, promoting glucose excretion through urine, while Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. The higher dose of Metformin provides stronger glycemic control, making this combination suitable for patients requiring intensified therapy.
