COMPOSITION: Sitagliptin 50mg + Metformin 500mg
FORMULATION: Tablet
Description: S.P. 50/500 MG Tablet is a combination anti-diabetic medication containing Sitagliptin and Metformin. It is widely used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Sitagliptin belongs to the DPP-4 inhibitor class, which increases insulin release and decreases glucagon levels, while Metformin (a biguanide) reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. This dual-action formulation helps in better glycemic control when diet and exercise alone are insufficient.
