FORMULATION: Tablet
Description: EMPACON L 25/5 Tablet is a fixed-dose combination of Empagliflozin 25 mg and Linagliptin 5 mg used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Empagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that helps eliminate excess glucose through urine, while Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that improves glycemic control by enhancing insulin secretion and decreasing glucagon levels. Together, they offer a complementary mechanism to effectively lower blood glucose levels and improve overall glycemic control.
Side Effects: Urinary tract infections
Increased urination
Nasopharyngitis (cold symptoms)
Headache
Hypoglycemia (especially if used with insulin or sulfonylureas)
Genital infections
Precaution: For oral use only.
Not recommended for children unless prescribed.
